Anushka Sharma’s Pari – Movie Review

pari movie review

Pari, which means fairy, is a horror flick that doesn’t deliver us to a universe of angels. The film won’t be outright horrid in terms of first-class. But, in searching for to deliver a never-ending supply of heavy-surpassed chills and thrills, it goes all out without a safety net.

Dark and dripping blood and gore from each pore, Pari is – without giving away the twisted plot info – about a fastened, injured and disoriented girl Rukhsana (Anushka Sharma) who is given protected by Arnab (Parambrata Chatterjee) after his car runs over an old woman. Turns out that there’s a far more to the distressed damsel than the instant, apparent reason for her soreness.

Pari is not precisely the sort of supernatural thriller that Bollywood lovers are aware of watching, yet it abounds in a few of the apparent tropes of the style. Its flights into fear and foreboding are common. It leaves nothing to the creativeness and yet feels exasperatingly fudgy. First-time director Prosit Roy offers a wide berth to subtlety. Just like the heroine of the story, he is going hammer and tongs on the activity of making a full-on scare-fest. The effort falls flat as it stretches credulity to snapping factor – after which a few.

Virat Kohli tweeted about Pari movie:

While Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s parents watching the Pari Movie.

Pari will really be remembered for Anushka Sharma’s lively performance. It isn’t difficult to look why she has put her money in the movie. It offers her a position of substance and she does full justice to it. Sadly, the film, at the entire, is eminently forgettable.

The casting of Parambrata Chatterjee has done well. He is an actor who is superb at downplaying the dramatic moments. He serves as a sturdy anchor in a movie that allows the heroine to drag out the stops.
