MTV Music Awards 2017 – The Winners and Nominees

Do you know who took the honors at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards? It is none other than Kendrick Lamar. He bagged six trophies, including the the top award of the evening. Guess what? He won the Video of the Year award too.

Lamar delivered his acceptance speech by showing his gratitude to the song’s collaborators, namely, Dave Free, the writer and Dave Meyers, the video director. He said, “Thank you for allowing us to take our thoughts and our wild imagination to the next level.”

There was a completely different look on the other categories of the show. The VMAs did away with the term Moonman for 2017. Meanwhile, the annual awards show also ditched the gender categories. Yes, the Best Male Video and the Best Female Video was take away and it was just the Artist of the Year.

At the ceremony hosted by Katy Perry, in Los Angeles, a slew of artists and celebs participated and took the stage on fire. There were celebs who performed and some others accepted their trophies. Lamar was the one who topped the night by being listed as a nominee for eight nods.
