The latest from Apple is expected to come out as the ‘iPhone Edition’ or ‘iPhone X’. Did you know that this is Apple’s 10th- Anniversary smartphone? The smartphone giant introduces wireless charging technology to the world, in this version. There’s a curved AMOLED display with an unusual vertical dual rear- facing the camera. Another rumored news is that iPhone 8 will be launched along with iPhone 7S and 7S Plus.
What excites us about iPhone 8?
The screen runs edge to edge along with a slimmed-down bezel of 4mm on each side. In HomePod’s firmware, there’s a rumored ‘notch’ along the top edge.
No Home Button
Yes! The normally present Home button might not be seen in iPhone 8. We heard from Home Pod Firmware that there’s a new variable called “deviceHasHomeButton”. This could be tagged with ‘yes’ or ‘no’ options to choose.
Fingerprint sensor, touch ID
Touch ID remains as it is with lock screen icon being displayed when you try to access locked notifications. The fingerprint sensor is still in the testing phase, says a source. It is also predicted that the scanner would be present at the back of the device.
Faster, wireless charging
“Tristar 3, Hydra” chip is said to manage the charging port and hence the phone will get charged faster than ever. Analyst Ming Chi Kuo predicts that the iPhone 8 Apple will have the “Type-C Power Delivery” to the Lightning port’s spec. Another confident prediction is the wireless charging. There are expectations that it would be waterproof too.
Face detection and iris recognition
You can expect infrared face unlock in iPhone 8. A patent relating to a “personal computing device control using face detection and recognition” has been awarded to apple. This confirms that the software will be able to detect facial expressions.
