John Cena, the WWE star has another Hollywood movie lined up, says Rebbaca Ford of the Hollywood Reporter on Monday. This time it is going to be a lead role for him in Bumblebee, a spinoff of the Transformers film. The movie will hit screens from Dec 21, 2018.
The 16- time world champion once said in an interview that he knows his days in the WWE ring are numbered. Cena has decided to wind up his successful wrestling career now. Sources say that he had been followed Wrestle Mania 33 in order to film The Pact. This movie is also set to release in 2018.
“I just turned 40 in April and we have so many young and talented performers, I don’t know how many years I have left,” he said. “So in the time I have left, I’m gonna do what I can to dedicate to this company I just want to be able to do it the most time that I possibly can”, John Cena confessed to Complex’s Khris Davenport.
Cena’s calendar this year will be completely occupied by Bumblebee’s shooting. The production work of the film has already started in California on Monday says a source from Ford.
WWE champion Jinder Mahal at Summer Slam is going to take place on August 20.
